Neck Armor (頸甲)

What is Akabe yoroi of Samurai Armor? 

Also known as Akabe yoroi, it is a protective gear mainly used to protect the throat, neck, chest, and back. It was used in the armor of the Kofun period, from the mid-3rd century to the end of the 7th century, after the Yayoi period. It was used in the Hanging Armor (挂甲) and Short Armor (短甲). It is an additional equipment for further protection of the body.
