What is Hagiita of Samurai Armor?

The term "Hagiita" refers to a long, narrow metal plate that is a component of the bowl (Hachi) of a Hoshi Kabuto (star helmet) or Suji kabuto (muscle helmet). These Hagiita are fastened with iron fittings and connected horizontally to form the bowl that covers the head of the helmet (Kabuto).
