What is Kaga Armor (Kagagusoku) of Samurai Armor?
Kaga Armor (Kagagusoku) This is a type of armor made in the Kaga domain during the early Edo period in the mid-17th century. It features a technique called ‘Silver Rou Flowing’, where silver is dripped like wax onto the iron rust ground (Tetsusabiji) to create patterns. It also uses intricate techniques not seen in other domains, such as ‘Chirimen Chain’ (Chirimen Gusari) with fine mesh on the gauntlets and ‘Brass Chain’. This armor gives a gorgeous and beautiful impression.
