繰締緒 Kurijimeo

What is Kurijimeo of Samurai Armor?

This is a cord set on the long side of the left side of the chest armor (Do), called ""Imuke"". It is tied together at the front of the body by pulling back the single cord set at the front of the body, called ""Dousakio"", through the Kurijime ring. Typically, a tortoiseshell-patterned Kumihimo (braided cord) is used for the Kurijimeo and Dousakio.
