What is Masakari a samurai weapon related to Samurai Armor?

"Masakari" is a weapon that was used on the battlefield from the early to mid-Muromachi period. It is larger and thicker than an axe. Some have a heart-shaped pattern called "Inome" carved out for decoration and weight reduction. It also served as a "siege weapon" used to smash castles, walls, and gates.
