三日月板 Crescent Plate or Mikazuki Ita

What is Mikazuki Ita of Samurai Armor

This is a tool shaped like a crescent moon, used to protect the back of the neck. It is located between the parts that hang on both shoulders of the back body in the modern armor (Tousei Gusoku), and is attached in contact with the ""Pressing Plate"" (Oshitsuke-no-ita), a long, narrow dyed leather wrapped around the upper back. The armor for protecting the body became more detailed due to the appearance of spears and guns at the end of the Muromachi period.
