What is Ryouchi no Kan of Samurai Armor?

This refers to the metal ring (Kan) that was struck on the cuirass (Do). From the Azuchi-Momoyama period to the early Edo period, there was one, but in the middle of the Edo period, when there were no battles and it became peaceful, decorations were added to the armor and the number of rings increased to two, hence it was called this. Mainly, the right chest is said to be the ""Command Baton Attached Ring"" (Saihaitsuke no Kan), which attaches the commander's baton, and the left chest is the ""Hand Towel Hanging Ring"" (Tenugui Kake no Kan), which attaches a hand towel.

Also, it is said that a cord was tied to this ring to stabilize large flags and the like that are carried on the back.
