What is Sanbi Tetsu of Samurai Armor?

The term "Sanbi Tetsu" refers to a metal fitting used in the "Shoukaku-tsuki Kabuto" (a helmet with a horn) from the Kofun period. This fitting, which is divided into three at the end, was used to attach decorative bird feathers to the top of the helmet bowl. It follows a format where three bird feathers are adorned.
