What is Sashimono of  Samurai Armor?

"Sashimono" is a flag or ornament that is attached to the back of the armor, known as "Tosei Gusoku", on the battlefield for the purpose of identifying individuals or units. It serves as an important marker. From the late Muromachi period to the Azuchi-Momoyama period, each samurai began to carry one.
