背板 Back Plate or Seita

What is Seita of Samurai Armor?

This is a plate that covers and protects the back part of the belly wrap (Haramaki). It has a ring (Kan) with a total angle attachment (Agemakitsuke). Initially, it included the push plate (Oshitsuke-no-ita) attached to the upper part of the back and was about three stages, but eventually, it became a long shape including the skirt (Kusazuri).
