What is Single-Skin Undressing Armor (Katahada Nugi dou) of Samurai Armor?

This is a type of chest armor (Do) that appears as if one side has been removed to reveal the skin around the shoulder. The torso is a two-plate torso, with nipples and ribs on the front and a spine on the back. It is painted with a ‘Flesh Color Paint’ (Nikuiro Nuri) to represent nudity. It is said to have given a sense of intimidation to the enemy.
