広袖 Wide Sleeve or Hiro Sode

What is Hiro Sode of Samurai Armor?

This is a type of sode that widens from top to bottom and curves inward. It has been used since the Nanboku-cho period, and in the Muromachi period, the top plate of the sleeve, ""Crown Plate"" (Kanmuri no Ita), became a shape that bends at a right angle to the outside.
