What is Tare of Samurai Armor?
This is a multi-stage plate that protects the throat to the chest. It is mainly used in the armor of the late Muromachi period, known as ""Tousei Gusoku"". It is a general term for half cheek (Hanbo), full face (Soumen), and under-eye cheek (Me no Shitabo).
