What is Tsumadori Odoshi of Samurai Armor?
Tsumadori Odoshi refers to a type of Odoshi used on the sleeves (Sode) and Kusazuri (skirt of the armor) diagonally with colored threads, different from the base color. The color changes in a triangular shape from the corner. The base colors are white, Asagi (a light indigo color with a hint of green), and purple. This method started in the late Kamakura period and was popular from the Nanbokucho period to the Muromachi period.
