Considering it was a 4 month wait I’m rather disappointed. The blade has multiple black marks on it, as well as black dots that are raised. It also really isn’t that sharp, I can run my fingers along the edge of it with hardly any worry of being cut. In the hand it feels great and in the scabbard looks incredible. But considering the wait time it’s upsetting that the quality control seems to be lacking. Unsure I’d order from this company again, which is a shame from all the good things I’ve seen.

The cutting was good as well as the stabbing, the handling was ab bit different do to the fact that the balance point was way different than I expected
ROM is 3/3 !! This is the 3rd sword I have purchased from ROM and all 3 have been better than expected! This one, the Dragon Whisperer… WOW. Maybe my favorite yet . Fairly simple, yet elegant design. Very similar to Aragorn/ Striders orginal sword in LOTR… but better looking IMO. Did some cutting with it the other day and it performed perfectly . Awesome sword. Love it
I love this sword. All the fittings are tight, the blade feels robust and has a great flex and point of percussion and the scabbard is phenomenal with the perfect retention.
Flawless blade and super fun to use. Very lively. I purchased the default sharpness - only con I have is it could be a little sharper out of the box. Otherwise fantastic sword.

Very pleased with the Quality. I saw the Shadiversity Review, had high expectations and I have to say it is as good as it is depicted. Havent cut with it yet but it sure could as far as it looks. Very surprised by the good Quality of the Sheath also. Shipping took a reasonable amount, since it had to get to central Europe, but was explained by current events and structuring, also was fine by me Overall the Quality/Pricing is very good I find and I certainly will look forward to getting myself another one, One-Hander maybe. P.S. Also I wish you guys got into producing Armor parts, would love to get some.

So I’ve had my sword now for about a month and I can tell you that it is an awesome quality product… I have cut some pool noodles and basically done fencing drills with it. It is balanced exactly like I would expect and it is absolutely gorgeous… I’ve handled swords at much higher price points even close to the level of quality of this sword. Absolutely the best bang for your buck you’re going to find

I got this sword as a graduation present instead of getting a class ring and I love it! It feels amazing in the hand, looks beautiful and is more than sturdy enough to be an artifact I will have in my family for generations! Totally worth the 3 month long wait to receive such a beautiful piece of work. I absolutely adore this sword and will be showing it off as much as I can as one of my prized possessions.

Good blades for the cost. Don't see the Dragon Whisperer holding up to much abuse even after watching the reviews..it's very thin half way up the blade. Great cutter for casual use and fun. I'm happy.

I am very happy with everything. My question was answered immediately, delivery was very quick and the sword looks great. Aside from that, I have one wish for a future sword. Namely something in the style of a Crusader/Templar sword. The Vanguard sword is a step in the right direction, but Shadiversity made a video about it that I agree with and am therefore waiting for a different version, or a completely new sword. Thank you very much.

Shipping took a while but the blade itself is great. For the price, this is probably the most budget friendly, high quality sword you can find.

It's gorgeous I've already made a few alterations to the scabbard didn't like the wire wrap on it there is a slight divot in the blade near The Cross guard but I will never be swinging at anything so it's not a big deal. The edge was a bit Sharp for a non sharpened edge but the sanding block provided to fix that up really well. Is worth the wait love it. the belt that came with it isn't that great. But it was easy to replace. I did buy a new sword carriage for it but I personally do like the original one better I just I'm not 100% sure how long it's going to last..
I just reviewed this longsword after waiting half a year. For the price this is the best longsword you can buy. Its finely crafted and has finer details than any other sword. I have it next to a battle ready glamdring sword from a different manufacturer. This longsword was slightly less expensive but the finish is much higher.

So I am new to long swords but I have studied Japanese swordsmanship for years in Japan. This thing is incredibly well made and is on par with the level of craftsmanship I see in my much more expensive katanas that I used in kenjutsu. I am amazed at the fit and finish on these at at the $300 price. I am just starting my study of Mayer’s long sword so I will be doing some backyard pool noodle cutting with this bad boy 🤪
My newest and now FAVORITE Longsword! I have multiple blades, several from other manufacturers and i have to say this is one of my most used and favorite swords! I am a simple backyard cutter and cut whatever i can find. It handles rolled tomi mats great, water bottles and sapling sticks great. I have done things i probably shouldent and its held up very well! I wish the scabbard was like the Warden longswords is without the metal at the opening, but unlike previous reviewers mine does not touch the edge of the blade and has good clearance so it will not dull the blade when pulled and resheathed. My blade was a little heavier than advertised but length was right on, so ill take it! I actually prefere the heavier blade, some reviews have said theirs was lighter but mine has a good weight to it and has very little flex when swinging. I have to say i like it just as well as a S5 blade from a competitor, the grip feels better, the blade has more width and looks stronger. I am very well pleased! Hope yours is as good as mine, I love it!
It absolutely worth to wait 4.5 months. All my other swords looks like "amateur immitations" now! This sword is perfect and I absolutely recommend it to everyone.

My very first European sword and im very glad I went with ROM. An excellent, elegant, well balanced longsword. Good out of box sharpness, cuts very well. Feels excellent in the hand. Alot of blade to handle but certainly not a regrettable purchase. Only thing is I wish the wood part of the sheath was a bit taller, with the length of the blade it can be a bit difficult to get it back in perfectly every time and a bit more wood at the mouth of the sheath would help preventing accidentally scraping the tip on the metal. All all, very surprising what you get for the money.
I'm overall very happy with the product. It feels very high quality for the price range and if you spend some time looking at it you can really see how smart production costs where saved. I especially have to give appreciation for the Customer support. I knew from the beginning that I would have to wait a bit longer for the sword but after some time I got anxious since this was my first purchase and asked about an update. The customer support quickly responded and even kept me up to date on production up until delivery which is gave me a lot of confidence. The only criticism I can give is that I have a couple of rough spots on metal parts like the Guard or the blade itself. I don't really mind them though, especially since everything else worked out so well. Thank you for the product and I will definitely make another purchase in time.

I'm extremely impressed. Well balanced, beautiful and sharp blade. Very fine scabbard as well that complements the sword's exceptional workmanship. I'm completely satisfied.
The sword itself is great, it feels good in the hand, cuts like a beast, the grind lines are perfect. The only nitpick I can make is the wirewrap on the scabbard could be tighter and the belt feels really cheap, but the fact that there is working a scabbard with belt included in this price range is beyond belief.
Although there was an extended back order time, it was well worth the wait. The quality and finish are great. Extremely happy with my purchase, would 100% buy for ROM again.
This is a wonderful piece. Great proportions, craftsmanship, materials, sharpness and handling. If you are looking for a quintessential hand-and a half sword this is not going to disappoint. It feels great in the hand. No sharp edges anywhere around the hilt or guard. It's very comfortable to swing around. This is my first purchase from RoM, but I'll be back for more.
