Received defective / wrong item

cool sword just came completly dull
Interestingly designed but not the most practical. I chose this sword because I was curious about a more "wooden" look and it was a toss up between this and a couple of others. I was already ordering two katanas so I thought I'd try something different here. I like the idea of the straight bladed "ninjato", that said the blade geometry is just not the best. The bevel is too large of an angle so cutting requires far more effort and due to the lack of substantial fittings on the handle as well as not much distal blade taper make it quite top-heavy. If the blade was instead an "straightened katana" blade in terms of geometry it would genuinely be great and a really cool sword to own. I still enjoy having it but it really doesn't compare to the katanas I've bought from ROM

This sword is absolutely stunning and powerful. I was not a die hard katana fan but this sword instantly became my favorite sword in my collection. Beautiful design, solid, and sharp enough to cut through an old broom handle like it was nothing. If you're thinking of buying this sword do it you will not be disappointed.
The fitting between the Saya & Tsuka was so perfect. Good job, rom.
