裾金物 Hem Decorative Metal or Susokanamono

What is Susokanamono of Samurai Armor?

This refers to the decorative metal fittings attached to the lowest part of the Shikoro (neck guard), Kusazuri (skirt), sleeves(Sode), and Sendan-no-ita (Sendan board), specifically on the diamond-stitched board (Hishinui no Ita). There are hardly any examples of these on practical armors such as Domaru (body wrap armor) and Haramaki (belly wrap armor), but they are often seen on great armors dedicated to shrines. They are also applied to works where the decoration of armor has advanced since the middle of the Edo period.
